(1) Blasting perforation. What is blasting perforation? After the material is irradiated by continuous laser, a pit is formed in the center, and then the molten material is quickly removed by the oxygen flow coaxial with the laser beam to form a hole. Generally, the size of the hole is related to the thickness of the pipe. The average diameter of the blast hole is half the thickness of the pipe. Therefore, the blasting hole diameter of thicker plate is larger and not round. Not suitable for parts with higher requirements (such as oil mesh suture pipes), but only for waste materials. In addition, since the oxygen pressure used for perforation is the same as the oxygen pressure used for cutting, and the splash is large, the holes formed are also different.
(2) Pulse perforation. Laser tube cutting equipment uses a pulsed laser of peak power to melt or evaporate a small amount of material. Air or nitrogen is often used as an auxiliary gas to reduce pore expansion caused by exothermic oxidation. When cutting, the gas pressure is lower than the oxygen pressure. Each pulsed laser produces only one small particle jet, which gradually deepens, so the perforation time of the thick plate takes several seconds. Once the perforation is completed, immediately replace the auxiliary gas with oxygen for cutting. In this way, the perforation diameter is smaller, and the perforation quality is better than that of blasting perforation. Therefore, the laser used should not only have high output power; more importantly, due to the temporal and spatial characteristics of the beam, the general cross-flow CO2 laser cannot meet the requirements of laser cutting. In addition, pulse perforation also needs a reliable gas path control system to realize the switching of gas type, gas pressure and perforation time. In the case of pulse perforation, in order to obtain high-quality cutting, attention should be paid to the transition technology from pulse perforation when the workpiece is stationary to constant speed continuous cutting of the workpiece. At present, the processing range of laser pipe cutting machine is about 300mm diameter. Generally speaking, the pipes cut by the laser pipe cutting machine in the factory hardly need to use this technology.
