The heavy-duty vertical lathe machining center operates at a relatively high speed. Before executing any operation command, it is essential to first verify the correctness of the command and predict its outcome. Pay close attention to this point, and then double-check your work. Do everything possible to prevent accidents.

1. Before starting work, please turn on the heavy-duty vertical lathe and vertical machining center.

1. Turn on the main power supply of the machine tool and the power supply of the CRT monitor. Start the hydraulic system of the machine tool.

2. Check whether the machine tool displays various standard information on the CRT and promptly address any adverse reports. Also, verify that the machine tool’s peripheral devices are functioning properly.

3. Check whether the positions of the machine tool’s robotic arm and tool magazine have been replaced correctly.

4. Check whether the machine tool coordinates are in a safe position, ensuring that the coordinates are sufficiently far from the machine tool’s zero point to prevent overshoot when the coordinates return to the reference point, and to ensure that the machine tool does not interfere with the workpiece during the return-to-reference-point operation.

5. Each coordinate returns to the reference point. Typically, the Z-axis coordinate returns to zero first. Move the upper tool of the machine spindle away from the workpiece and observe whether the coordinates are functioning properly.

6. Check the spindle, manipulator, and tool magazine for any abnormalities in the machining tools. If a tool is incorrectly positioned in the tool magazine or is damaged, it should be replaced promptly before starting the machining process.

7. Start the machine tool to begin machining the workpiece.

II. Heavy-duty vertical lathe and vertical machining center shut down.

1. Stop the machining program and record the current P segment of the machining program being executed by the machining center.

2. Move the tool on the spindle away from the workpiece. If necessary, return the tool held by the robotic arm to the tool magazine.

3. Relocate the machine tool’s coordinates away from the machine tool’s zero point and drive them to a safe position, so that they can return to the reference point when the machine is powered on next time.

4. Set the manual feed adjustment and rapid feed adjustment switches to the zero position to prevent the machine tool from moving due to accidental operation.

5. Shut off the machine tool’s hydraulic system, compressed air, etc.

6. Disconnect the power supply to the machine tool’s CRT display.

7. Disconnect the machine tool’s main power supply. Record the shift.
